Arbitel-80 H Tablet

Combination: Telmisartan (80mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg)
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) when single therapy isn’t effective.

Key Benefits:

• Lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels (telmisartan) and removing excess fluid (diuretic effect).

• Reduces risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

Dosage:

• Take once daily, with or without food, at a fixed time.

• Avoid taking within 4 hours of bedtime (to prevent nighttime urination).

• Do not stop abruptly without consulting your doctor.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness, fatigue, nausea.

• Frequent urination (expected due to diuretic effect).

• Low magnesium levels (monitor if symptoms like muscle cramps occur).

Warnings:

• Avoid in pregnancy/breastfeeding (risk to baby).

• Caution with alcohol (may worsen dizziness/low BP).

• Kidney/Liver Disease: Dose adjustment needed; avoid in severe kidney impairment.

• Driving: May cause drowsiness/dizziness—avoid if affected.

Missed Dose:

• Take as soon as remembered; skip if close to next dose. Do not double dose.

Lifestyle Tips:

• Limit alcohol and high-potassium foods/supplements (unless prescribed).

• Monitor BP regularly and report persistent side effects.
