Asomex-D Tablet
Combination: Amlodipine + Hydrochlorothiazide
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduction of stroke/heart attack risk.
Key Instructions:

Take with or without food, preferably in the morning.

Maintain a low-salt diet, exercise, and hydrate well (to prevent dehydration).

Do not chew/crush; swallow whole.
Side Effects:

Common: Ankle swelling, dizziness, headache, nausea, fatigue, palpitations, low potassium, increased uric acid.

Rare: Extreme thirst, muscle weakness (report to doctor).
Safety Advice:

Alcohol: Unsafe (may worsen dizziness/dehydration).

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Avoid (potential harm to baby).

Driving: Unsafe (may cause drowsiness/dizziness).

Kidney/Liver Disease: Use with caution (dose adjustment may be needed). Avoid in severe kidney disease.
Missed Dose:

Take as soon as remembered. Skip if close to next dose. Do not double dose.
How It Works:

Amlodipine: Relaxes blood vessels (calcium channel blocker).

Hydrochlorothiazide: Removes excess fluid/electrolytes (diuretic + improves blood flow over time).
Note: Regular BP monitoring and doctor consultations are recommended.
