Type: Antibiotic (Macrolide class)
Use: Treats bacterial infections (ear, throat, lungs, skin, stomach, etc.).

Key Points for Parents:

1. Dosage:

   • Usually once daily (morning preferred).

   • For typhoid, give twice daily.

   • Can be given with or without food (food recommended to avoid stomach upset).

2. If Vomiting Occurs:

   • If child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, repeat the same dose.

3. Course Completion:

   • Continue full prescribed course even if symptoms improve in 2–3 days. Stopping early may cause reinfection or resistance.

4. Common Side Effects:

   • Mild nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain (usually temporary).
