Azithral 200 Liquid (Azithromycin)

Type: Antibiotic
Used for: Bacterial infections (ear, throat, lungs, skin, gut, etc.).

Key Points:

1. Dosage:

   • Usually once daily (morning preferred).

   • For typhoid: twice daily.

   • Give with food to avoid stomach upset.

2. If Missed:

   • Give as soon as remembered, but skip if next dose is within 12 hours.

3. If Vomiting:

   • Re-administer if child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose.

4. Side Effects (usually mild):

   • Nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain.

   • Consult a doctor if persistent or severe.

5. Finish the Course:

   • Continue full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

6. Precautions:

   • Inform the doctor about kidney/liver issues or allergies.

   • Avoid in severe liver disease (risk of hepatitis).
