Uses

Treats bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract (lungs, throat, sinuses)

• Ear, nose, skin, and eye infections

• Typhoid fever

• Sexually transmitted infections (e.g., gonorrhea)

Dosage & Administration

• How to take: Oral, with or without food (but better 1 hour before/2 hours after meals).

• Dosage: As prescribed; complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

• Missed dose: Take ASAP. Skip if close to the next dose. Do not double dose.

Side Effects (Usually mild and temporary)

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

• Stomach pain, headache

Precautions & Warnings

• Avoid if: History of liver problems (cholestatic jaundice) caused by azithromycin.

• Consult a doctor before use if:
