Bactoclav 375 Tablet

Composition: Amoxicillin (antibiotic) + Clavulanic Acid (beta-lactamase inhibitor).

Uses:

Treats bacterial infections of:

• Lungs (pneumonia)

• Ear, sinus, throat

• Urinary tract

• Skin, soft tissue

• Bones, teeth

Dosage & Administration:

• Take with food to avoid stomach upset.

• Complete the full prescribed course (even if symptoms improve).

• Do not crush/chew; swallow whole.

Side Effects (Common):

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

• Skin rash, fungal infections (mouth/vagina)

• Vaginal inflammation

Precautions:

• Allergy: Inform your doctor if allergic to penicillin/cephalosporins.

• Kidney/Liver Disease: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed.

• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Generally safe if prescribed.

• Driving: May cause dizziness/allergic reactions—avoid driving if affected.

• Alcohol: No known interaction, but moderation advised.

Missed Dose:

Take as soon as remembered. If close to the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double dose.

How It Works:

• Amoxicillin kills bacteria by disrupting their cell wall.

• Clavulanic Acid prevents bacterial resistance, enhancing effectiveness.
