Uses

Treats epileptic seizures (partial-onset, myoclonic, tonic-clonic).

Dosage & Administration

Dose: As prescribed (initially low, gradually increased).

How to take: Swallow whole, with/without food, at a fixed time daily.

Missed dose: Take ASAP; skip if close to next dose. Do not double dose.
How It Works

Binds to SV2A protein on nerve cells, stabilizing electrical activity in the brain to prevent seizures.
Side Effects

Common: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, agitation, aggression.

Serious (rare): Mood changes, suicidal thoughts, severe rash.
