Generic Name: Ciprofloxacin
Class: Fluoroquinolone antibiotic

Uses

Treats bacterial infections, including:

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Respiratory (nose, throat, lungs)

• Skin/soft tissue infections

• Pneumonia

Dosage

• Take as prescribed, with/without food, at a fixed time.

• Do not skip doses or stop early, even if symptoms improve.

• Avoid caffeine/chocolate (may interact).

Side Effects

• Common: Headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea.

• Serious (seek help): Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing issues), bloody stools, persistent diarrhea.

Warnings

• Avoid if allergic to ciprofloxacin.

• Kidney patients: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed.

• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Unsafe—consult doctor.

How It Works

Missed Dose?

Take ASAP, but skip if close to next dose. Never double dose.
