Ciplox D Eye/Ear Drops

Composition:

• Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) + Dexamethasone (steroid).

Uses:

1. Treats bacterial infections of the eye/ear (e.g., conjunctivitis, otitis externa).

2. Reduces inflammation (redness, swelling, pain) in eye infections.

How It Works:

• Ciprofloxacin kills bacteria by blocking their DNA replication.

• Dexamethasone reduces inflammation by suppressing prostaglandins.

Dosage:

• Apply to the affected eye/ear as directed.

• Eye use: 1-2 drops, 3-4 times/day.

• Ear use: 2-3 drops, 2-3 times/day.

• Complete the full course, even if symptoms improve.

Side Effects:

• Temporary eye/ear discomfort, redness, itching, blurred vision.

• Rare: Corneal deposits, taste changes (if systemic absorption occurs).

Precautions:

• Avoid contact with nose/mouth; rinse with water if accidental contact occurs.

• Do not drive immediately after use (may cause temporary blurring).

• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Consult a doctor.

• Allergies: Inform your doctor if allergic to quinolones/steroids.

Storage:

• Keep at room temperature; avoid contamination (do not touch dropper tip).
