Drug Class: Macrolide antibiotic
Uses
Treats bacterial infections of:

Respiratory tract (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)

Ear, nose, throat (e.g., sinusitis, tonsillitis)

Skin and soft tissues

Peptic ulcers (caused by H. pylori)

Opportunistic infections (e.g., MAC in immunocompromised patients).
Dosage & Administration

How to take: Swallow whole with water. Can be taken with or without food, but avoid antacids 2 hours before/after dosing.

Timing: Fixed intervals, complete full course even if symptoms improve.

Avoid: Tyramine-rich foods (aged cheese, smoked fish, processed meats, certain beers).
