Combunex 800 Tablet

Use: Treatment of Tuberculosis (TB) (kills bacteria causing infection).
Composition: Contains isoniazid + ethambutol.

Key Instructions:

• Take on an empty stomach at a fixed time.

• Do not skip doses; complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

• Avoid tyramine-rich foods (cheese, smoked fish, processed meats, certain beers).

Side Effects:

• Common: Nausea, vomiting, fever, dark urine, numbness/tingling (peripheral neuropathy), elevated liver enzymes, gout.

• Serious (rare): Allergic reactions (rash, swelling), jaundice, vision changes.

Precautions:

• Alcohol: Unsafe (may cause severe reactions like flushing, low BP).

• Pregnancy: Consult doctor (potential risks).

• Breastfeeding: Safe if prescribed.

• Driving: Avoid (may cause dizziness/vision issues).

• Kidney/Liver Disease: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed.
