Class: Novel Oral Anticoagulant (NOAC) / Direct Thrombin Inhibitor

Key Uses:

• Prevents & treats blood clots (venous thromboembolism).

• Reduces risk of stroke in atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).

• Prevents clots after knee/hip replacement surgery.

• Treats deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).

Dosage & Administration:

• Take once or twice daily as prescribed, with/without food.

• Missed dose? Take ASAP if ≥6 hours before next dose; otherwise skip.
