Duphalac Oral Solution (Lactulose)

Uses:

• Treats constipation (softens stool by drawing water into the intestines).

• Prepares intestines before surgery.

• Manages hepatic encephalopathy (lowers blood ammonia levels to improve brain function).

Benefits for Hepatic Encephalopathy:
Reduces confusion, tremors, and coma risk by removing toxins like ammonia from the blood.

Side Effects:

• Common: Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (usually mild and temporary).

How to Use:

• Shake well. Take orally as prescribed, with or without food.

• Use a measuring cup for accurate dosing.
