What is Eliquis 2.5mg Tablet?

Eliquis 2.5mg is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that helps prevent and treat dangerous blood clots in veins and arteries. It reduces the risk of stroke, heart attack, and deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

Key Uses:

✔ Prevents stroke & blood clots in atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat)
✔ Reduces clot risk after hip/knee replacement surgery
✔ Treats & prevents DVT (deep vein thrombosis) and pulmonary embolism (PE)

How to Take:

• Take with or without food, but at the same time daily for best results.

• Swallow whole—do not crush, chew, or break.

• Do NOT stop suddenly without doctor’s advice—increases clot risk.

Possible Side Effects:

• Bleeding (nosebleeds, easy bruising, prolonged bleeding from cuts)

• Anemia (low red blood cells)

• Nausea, dizziness, rash

Seek immediate medical help if you notice:

• Unusual bleeding (blood in urine/stool, heavy menstrual flow)

• Severe headache, weakness (signs of bleeding in the brain)
