Gatiquin Eye Drop

Composition: Antibiotic (Gatifloxacin)
Use: Treats bacterial eye infections (e.g., conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers). Stops bacterial growth.

Key Instructions:

• Dosage: As prescribed. Usually 1–2 drops in affected eye(s) every 2–6 hours.

• How to Apply:

  1. Wash hands.

  2. Tilt head back, pull lower eyelid down.

  3. Instill drops without touching the dropper tip.

  4. Close eye for 1–2 minutes.

• Duration: Complete full course even if symptoms improve.

Side Effects:

• Mild: Burning, irritation, blurred vision (temporary).

• Rare: Nausea, diarrhea (consult doctor if severe/persistent).

Safety:

• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Consult doctor. Limited safety data.

• Driving: Avoid until vision clears post-application.

• Missed Dose: Apply ASAP. Skip if close to next dose.

Precautions:

• Do not touch dropper to eye/fingers to avoid contamination.

• Remove contact lenses before use (wait 15 mins before reinserting).
