Gemcal Nasal Spray
Active Ingredient: Likely Calcitonin (a calcitonin receptor agonist).
Uses:

Treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis (strengthens bones, reduces fracture risk).

Management of bone pain in Paget’s disease.

May address high calcium levels in blood (hypercalcemia).
How to Use:

Gently blow nose before use.

Insert tip into one nostril, close the other. Spray toward the side of the nostril (away from the nasal septum).

Sniff deeply to ensure absorption. Repeat for the other nostril.

Maintain adequate calcium and vitamin D intake during treatment.
Side Effects (Usually mild):

Nasal: Runny nose, nosebleeds, irritation, itching.

Body: Back/joint pain, headache.

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Unsafe – consult doctor.

Alcohol/Driving: No known interactions.

Missed Dose:
