Uses

• Prevents/treats angina (heart-related chest pain).

• Manages heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertensive emergencies, and anal fissures.

How It Works

• Relaxes and widens blood vessels → improves blood/oxygen supply to the heart and reduces workload.

Dosage

• Take as prescribed, usually once daily.

• Swallow whole; do not chew/crush.

• Can be taken with/without food, but at a fixed time.

Key Side Effects

• Common: Headache (drink fluids, avoid alcohol), dizziness, blurred vision, low blood pressure.

• Serious (rare): Fainting, severe allergic reactions.

Safety Warnings

• Avoid Alcohol: Can worsen side effects (e.g., low BP, rapid heartbeat).
