Class: Nitrate vasodilator
Uses:

Prevents angina (heart-related chest pain) by improving blood flow to the heart.

Also used for heart failure, coronary artery disease, and hypertensive emergencies.

Off-label: May treat anal fissures (due to vasodilation effects).
How It Works:

Relaxes and widens blood vessels, reducing the heart’s workload and oxygen demand.
Dosage & Administration:

Take as prescribed, usually once/twice daily.

Swallow whole; can be taken with/without food at a fixed time.

Do not stop suddenly (risk of rebound angina).
