Metpure H Tablet
Combination: Metoprolol Succinate (beta-blocker) + Hydrochlorothiazide (diuretic).
Used for: Hypertension (high blood pressure) when single therapy isn’t enough. Reduces risk of heart attack/stroke.
Key Points:

Dosage: Take once daily (preferably morning) with/without food. Swallow whole.

Do NOT stop abruptly – even if you feel well.

Removing excess fluid/electrolytes (Hydrochlorothiazide).

Side Effects:

Common: Fatigue, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, thirst.

Serious (rare): Very low BP, electrolyte imbalance, worsened kidney/liver function.

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Consult doctor (potential risks).

Kidney/Liver Disease: Dose adjustment needed; not recommended for severe kidney disease.

Driving: May cause drowsiness/dizziness – avoid if affected.
Monitoring:
Regular BP, kidney function, electrolytes (potassium/magnesium), and blood sugar checks advised.
If Missed Dose:
Take ASAP, but skip if close to next dose. Never double dose.
