Uses

• Treats hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland) by reducing thyroid hormone production.

Dosage & Administration

• How to take: Swallow whole with/without food at a fixed time.

• Missed dose: Take ASAP; skip if close to next dose. Do not double dose.

Side Effects

• Common: Skin rash, itching, headache, nausea, joint pain, hair loss, GI disturbances.

• Serious (seek help):

  • Signs of infection (fever, sore throat) → may indicate agranulocytosis (low white blood cells).

  • Unexplained bleeding, jaundice, severe fatigue → may indicate liver issues.
