Novaclav 625 Tablet

Composition: Amoxicillin (antibiotic) + Clavulanic Acid (beta-lactamase inhibitor).

Uses

Treats bacterial infections of:

• Lungs (pneumonia), ear, sinus, urinary tract, skin, soft tissue, bones, joints.

• Not effective for viral infections (e.g., common cold).

Dosage & Administration

• How to take: Swallow whole with food (to avoid stomach upset).

• Duration: Complete the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve.

• Missed dose: Take ASAP; skip if close to next dose. Never double dose.

How It Works

• Amoxicillin: Kills bacteria by disrupting cell wall formation.

• Clavulanic Acid: Prevents bacterial resistance, enhancing Amoxicillin’s effect.

Side Effects

Common (usually mild):

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
