Olkem 40 H Tablet

Combination: Olmesartan (40mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg)
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).

Key Benefits:

• Controls BP by relaxing blood vessels (Olmesartan) and removing excess fluid (Hydrochlorothiazide).

• Reduces risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

Dosage:

• Take once daily, with or without food, at a fixed time.

• Avoid taking close to bedtime (may cause frequent urination).

• Do not stop abruptly even if you feel well.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness, weakness, headache, tiredness.

• Swelling (edema), increased uric acid, elevated liver enzymes.

• Not a side effect: Frequent urination (expected due to diuretic).

Warnings:

• Avoid alcohol (lowers BP further, increases dizziness).

• Pregnancy: Unsafe (risk to fetus).

• Kidney/Liver Disease: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed.

• Driving: May cause drowsiness/dizziness; avoid if affected.

If You Miss a Dose:

• Take as soon as remembered. Skip if close to next dose. Do not double dose.
