Ovuloc LD Tablet

Combination: Hormonal contraceptive (Levonorgestrel + Ethinyl Estradiol).

Uses:

1. Contraception (prevents pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation and sperm movement).

2. Regulates irregular menstrual cycles.

3. May lower ovarian cancer risk.

Dosage & Administration:

• Start on Day 1 of menstruation; take 1 tablet daily at the same time.

• Continue for 21 days, then start a new pack after a 7-day break (or as prescribed).

• If vomited within 4 hours, take another pill.

• Missed dose:

  • <12 hours late: Take immediately.

  • 12 hours late: Use backup contraception (e.g., condoms) for 2 days.

Side Effects:

• Common: Nausea, headache, breast pain, weight gain, irregular bleeding.

• Serious (rare): Blood clots (watch for chest pain, leg swelling, vision changes).

Precautions:

• Avoid if: Pregnant, breastfeeding, or with history of blood clots/heart disease/liver cancer.

• Consult a doctor: If over 35 and smoke, or have hypertension/diabetes.

• Drug interactions: Antibiotics, anticonvulsants, or herbal products may reduce efficacy.

Safety:

• 🚫 Pregnancy: Unsafe.

• 🚫 Breastfeeding: Unsafe (use progestin-only pills instead).

• 🍷 Alcohol: Caution advised.
