Uses:

• Treatment of schizophrenia (restores brain chemical balance, improves behavior/thoughts).

• Treatment of mania (stabilizes mood, prevents recurrence).

• Management of bipolar disorder.

How It Works:

• Atypical antipsychotic that modulates brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) affecting mood/behavior.

Dosage:

• Take once daily, with/without food, at the same time each day.

• Do not stop suddenly (risk of worsening symptoms).

Key Side Effects:

• Common: Weight gain, drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, increased appetite.
