Taxim-O 50mg Tablet DT

Type: Antibiotic (Cefixime)
Used for: Bacterial infections (ear, throat, lungs, skin, urinary tract, etc.) and uncomplicated typhoid.

Key Instructions:

✔ Dosage: Give 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals for best absorption. If stomach upset occurs, give with food.
✔ If vomiting within 30 mins: Repeat the dose. Do NOT double dose if it’s time for the next one.
✔ Not for cold/flu: Only effective against bacterial infections, not viruses.

Common Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, mild allergy (usually temporary).

• Consult a doctor if side effects persist or worsen.

Safety Tips:

• Kidney/Liver Issues: Use with caution in kidney disease; safe for liver disease (but consult a doctor for severe cases).

• Missed Dose: Give as soon as remembered, unless close to the next dose. Never double dose.
