Tellzy 80-H Tablet

Composition: Telmisartan (80mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg)
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) when single therapy is ineffective.

Key Benefits:

• Lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels (telmisartan) and increasing urine output (hydrochlorothiazide).

• Reduces long-term risks of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

Dosage & Administration:

• Take once daily, with or without food, at a fixed time.

• Avoid taking within 4 hours of bedtime (to prevent nighttime urination).

• Do not stop abruptly without consulting your doctor.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness, fatigue, nausea, low magnesium levels.

• Frequent urination is expected (due to the diuretic effect).

Precautions & Warnings:

• Avoid alcohol (may worsen dizziness or lower BP further).

• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Unsafe – consult a doctor.

• Kidney/Liver Disease: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed.

• Driving: May cause drowsiness/dizziness – avoid if affected.

• Avoid potassium supplements/salt substitutes unless prescribed.

Missed Dose:

• Take as soon as remembered, but skip if close to the next dose. Do not double dose.

Note:

• High BP often has no symptoms; continue medication even if you feel well.

• Regular monitoring of BP, kidney function, and electrolytes is recommended.
