Telma ACT 40mg/5mg/6.25mg Tablet

Combination: Telmisartan (40mg) + Amlodipine (5mg) + Chlorthalidone (6.25mg).
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) when single therapy is ineffective.

Key Benefits:

• Lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels (Telmisartan + Amlodipine) and removing excess fluid (Chlorthalidone).

• Reduces risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage.

Dosage:

• Take once daily with food, preferably at the same time.

• Avoid taking within 4 hours of bedtime (due to diuretic effect).

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness, headache, fatigue, ankle swelling, increased urination, electrolyte imbalance.

• Rare: Visual disturbances, muscle cramps, high blood sugar.

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol (may worsen dizziness).

• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Unsafe – consult doctor.

• Driving: Use caution (may cause drowsiness/dizziness).

• Kidney/Liver Disease: Dose adjustment needed; avoid in severe liver disease.

• Monitoring: Regular BP, kidney function, electrolytes, and blood sugar checks.

Missed Dose:

• Take as soon as remembered; skip if close to next dose. Do not double dose.

How It Works:

Note: Continue even if asymptomatic. Stopping suddenly may raise BP.
