Telma-LN 20mg/40mg Tablet

Composition:

• Cilnidipine (20mg/40mg): Calcium channel blocker (CCB) – relaxes blood vessels.

• Telmisartan (20mg/40mg): Angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) – reduces blood pressure by blocking angiotensin II.

Uses:

• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) to lower the risk of heart attack/stroke.

How It Works:

• Cilnidipine: Blocks calcium channels, dilating blood vessels.

• Telmisartan: Blocks angiotensin II receptors, reducing vessel constriction.

• Combined effect: Lowers BP, eases heart workload.

Dosage:

• Take once daily, with/without food, at a fixed time.

• Do not stop without consulting your doctor.

Side Effects:

• Common: Ankle swelling, headache, dizziness, fatigue, upset stomach, flushing.

• Serious (rare): Palpitations, very high potassium, cardiogenic shock.

Safety Advice:

• Avoid alcohol (increases dizziness).

• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Unsafe – consult doctor.

• Driving: May cause drowsiness/dizziness; avoid if affected.

• Kidney/Liver Disease: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed. Avoid in severe liver disease.

Lifestyle Tips:

If You Miss a Dose:

• Take ASAP, but skip if close to the next dose. Do not double dose.
