Tsart 80 H Tablet

Composition: Telmisartan (80mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg)
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) when single therapy isn’t effective.

Key Benefits:

• Lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels (telmisartan) and removing excess fluid (diuretic effect).

• Reduces risk of heart attack, stroke, or kidney damage long-term.

Dosage & Administration:

• Take once daily, with or without food, at a fixed time.

• Avoid taking within 4 hours of bedtime (to prevent nighttime urination).

• Do not stop abruptly; even if asymptomatic.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness, fatigue, nausea.

• Frequent urination (expected due to diuretic effect).

Warnings:

• Avoid in pregnancy/breastfeeding (risk to baby).

• Caution with kidney/liver disease, diabetes, or heart conditions.

• Alcohol may worsen dizziness/low BP.

• Driving/alertness: May cause drowsiness/dizziness.

Missed Dose:

• Take ASAP if remembered, but skip if close to next dose. Never double dose.

Important Notes:

• Avoid potassium supplements/salt substitutes unless prescribed.

• Regular monitoring of BP, electrolytes (e.g., magnesium), and kidney function advised.
