Use:

Treats benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) by relieving urinary symptoms (difficulty urinating, frequent/urgent need).

Does not shrink the prostate.
Dosage:

Take 0.4 mg once daily, with/without food, at the same time each day.

Swallow whole; do not crush/chew.

Complete the course as prescribed.
Key Side Effects:

Dizziness, headache, retrograde ejaculation.

Nasal congestion, back/abdominal pain, nausea.

Rare: Chest pain, allergic reactions.
Precautions:

Avoid alcohol (increases dizziness).

Liver patients: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed.

Eye surgery: Inform surgeon (risk of “floppy iris syndrome”).
