Combination: Dutasteride + Tamsulosin
Use: Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) (enlarged prostate).

Relieves urinary symptoms (difficulty urinating, frequent/urgent need to urinate).

Does not prevent prostate cancer.

Dosage

Take once daily, with or without food, at the same time.

Swallow whole; do not crush/chew.

Do not skip doses even if symptoms improve.
Common Side Effects

Impotence, decreased libido, ejaculation disorders.

Dizziness, drowsiness (especially when starting).

Breast tenderness/enlargement (in men).

Avoid alcohol (increases dizziness/drowsiness).

Not for women/children.

Liver/Kidney Disease: Use with caution; avoid in severe liver disease.

Driving: Unsafe (may cause dizziness/blurred vision).

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Contraindicated (can harm fetus if exposed to semen of a patient taking dutasteride; use condoms).
Missed Dose?
Take ASAP, but skip if close to next dose. Do not double dose.
Warning

Monitor blood pressure (risk of orthostatic hypotension).
