Vira-G Eye Gel

Active Ingredient: Likely Ganciclovir (antiviral).

Uses:

• Treats cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis (prevents blindness in immunocompromised patients, e.g., post-transplant).

• Also used for herpes simplex eye infections, genital herpes, chickenpox, and hepatitis C (off-label).

How to Apply:

1. Wash hands before use.

2. Squeeze gel into lower eyelid without touching the eye/tube tip.

3. Avoid contact lenses during treatment.

Side Effects:

• Temporary eye irritation (common).

Safety:

• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Unsafe (consult doctor).

• Driving: May cause dizziness/vision changes (avoid if affected).

• Missed Dose: Apply ASAP; skip if close to next dose.
