Warf 1 Tablet

Type: Oral Anticoagulant (Blood Thinner)

Uses:

Prevents harmful blood clots in:

• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)

• Pulmonary embolism (PE)

• Stroke prevention

• Other clot-related conditions

How It Works:

• Inhibits clot formation but does not dissolve existing clots.

• Prevents clots from growing larger.

Dosage & Administration:

• Take as prescribed, with or without food, at a fixed time daily.

• Do not crush/chew. Swallow whole.

• Avoid sudden discontinuation without doctor’s advice.

• Dietary Note: Limit Vitamin K-rich foods (spinach, broccoli, etc.) as they reduce effectiveness.

Side Effects:

• Common: Bleeding (e.g., nosebleeds, gum bleeding).

• Serious (Seek Help): Blood in urine/stool, vomiting blood, unusual bruising.

Safety Advice:

• Alcohol: Unsafe (↑ bleeding risk).

• Pregnancy: Harmful (Avoid; consult doctor).

• Breastfeeding: Safe (minimal transfer to milk).

• Kidney/Liver Disease:

  • Kidney: Safe (monitor blood tests).

  • Liver: Use with caution (dose adjustment may be needed).

• Surgery/Dental Work: Inform doctor (may need to pause medication).

Missed Dose:

• Skip missed dose; do not double dose.

Key Warning:
