Wikoryl Oral Suspension (American Ice Cream Flavor)

Uses:

• Treats common cold, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), and respiratory symptoms:

  • Runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes

  • Sore throat, body ache, fever

  • Nasal congestion, thick mucus

Key Benefits:

• Relieves cold/allergy symptoms quickly (within minutes).

• Loosens mucus, reduces congestion, and soothes throat pain.

• Contains Paracetamol for fever/pain relief.

Dosage:

• Give orally, with or without food (use food if stomach upset occurs).

• Follow the doctor’s prescribed dose/timing strictly.

• If vomited within 30 mins, repeat the dose; otherwise, wait for the next scheduled dose.

• Continue the full course even if symptoms improve.

Side Effects (Usually Mild & Temporary):

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

• Dizziness, headache, rash

• Restlessness, insomnia, palpitations

• Rare: Hallucinations, tremors (consult doctor if persistent).

Safety Advice:

• Kidney/Liver Disease: Use with caution; dose adjustments may be needed.

Missed Dose?

• Give as soon as remembered, unless close to the next dose. Never double dose.

How It Works:

• Paracetamol: Reduces pain/fever.

• Sodium Citrate: Thins mucus for easier coughing.

Note: Store at room temperature, shake well before use.

When to Call the Doctor:

• Side effects worsen or persist.

• No improvement after 1 week.

• New symptoms appear (e.g., breathing difficulties).
