Combination: Amlodipine + Hydrochlorothiazide
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduction of stroke/heart attack risk.
Key Points:

Dosage: Take as prescribed, usually once daily (preferably morning). Swallow whole; with/without food.

Lifestyle: Combine with low-salt diet, exercise, and adequate fluid intake (avoids dehydration).
Side Effects:

Common: Ankle swelling, dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, palpitations, low potassium, increased uric acid.

Rare: Extreme thirst, muscle weakness (report to doctor).
Warnings:

Alcohol: Unsafe (may worsen dizziness/dehydration).

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Avoid (potential harm to baby).

Driving: Caution (may cause drowsiness/dizziness).

How It Works:

Missed Dose?
Take ASAP, but skip if close to next dose. Never double dose.
