Aerocort Rotacap

Uses:

• Treats asthma (prevents wheezing, shortness of breath).

• Not for sudden attacks (use a quick-relief inhaler during attacks).

Composition:

• Levosalbutamol (bronchodilator): Relaxes airway muscles.

• Beclometasone (steroid): Reduces airway inflammation.

Key Benefits:

• Eases breathing, reduces chest tightness, coughing, and wheezing.

• Works best with regular use (full effect in weeks).

How to Use:

1. Do not swallow the Rotacap.

2. Place capsule in rotahaler’s base (not mouthpiece).

3. Twist mouthpiece until it clicks → inhale deeply → hold breath for 10 seconds.

4. Repeat if powder remains.

Side Effects (Common):

• Hoarse voice, sore throat, oral thrush, headache, cough.

• Prevention: Rinse mouth/brush teeth after use.
