Furic 80mg Tablet

Uses: Treatment and prevention of gout (lowers uric acid levels to prevent crystal formation in joints).

Key Information:

• How it works: Inhibits xanthine oxidase, reducing uric acid production.

• Dosage: Take as prescribed, with/without food, at a fixed time. Do not stop abruptly (may worsen symptoms).

• Diet/Lifestyle: Avoid alcohol/non-vegetarian foods; drink plenty of fluids.

Side Effects:

• Common: Nausea, rash, joint pain, abnormal liver function.

• Initial flare-up: Gout symptoms may temporarily worsen (doctor may prescribe painkillers).

• Serious: Liver disease symptoms (dark urine, jaundice, persistent nausea)—seek immediate medical help.
