Megapen Kid Tablet

Active Ingredients: Ampicillin + Cloxacillin (antibiotics)
Used For: Bacterial infections (ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bones, etc.), including resistant bacteria.

Key Instructions

• Dosage: 3 times daily, as prescribed (based on infection severity, age, and weight).

• When to Give:

  • Best: 30–60 mins before food (empty stomach).

  • If stomach upset occurs: Give with food.

• If Vomiting: Repeat dose if child vomits within 30 mins of taking. Do not double the next dose.

• Missed Dose: Give when remembered; skip if close to next dose.

Side Effects (Usually mild and temporary)

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, mild rash.

• Consult a doctor if persistent or severe.

• Kidney/Liver Issues:

  • Kidney disease: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed.
