Newtel-Beta 50 Tablet PR
Composition: Telmisartan + Metoprolol Succinate
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) to prevent heart attack/stroke and improve heart survival post-attack.
Key Points:
✔ Dosage: Take once daily with food, at a fixed time.
✔ Do NOT stop abruptly—even if asymptomatic.
✔ Lifestyle: Combine with exercise, weight management, and a low-salt diet.
Side Effects:
Common: Dizziness, headache, weakness, low BP, nausea, fatigue.
Serious: Slow heart rate, high potassium, orthostatic hypotension (rise slowly).
Avoid: Potassium-rich foods, alcohol, and driving if dizzy.
Precautions:
Pregnancy: Unsafe (risk to fetus).
Liver/Kidney: Use with caution (dose adjustment may be needed).
Breastfeeding: Likely safe (consult doctor).
