Olmat 40 H Tablet

Combination: Olmesartan (40mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg/25mg)
Use: Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) when single therapy isn’t effective.

Key Benefits

• Olmesartan: Relaxes blood vessels for better blood flow.
• Hydrochlorothiazide: Diuretic (“water pill”) reduces fluid retention.

Dosage & Administration

• Take once daily, with or without food (fixed time recommended).
• Avoid taking within 4 hours of bedtime (to prevent frequent nighttime urination).
• Do not stop abruptly even if you feel well.

Common Side Effects

• Dizziness, weakness, headache, tiredness.
• Swelling (edema), chest pain, increased uric acid/triglycerides.
• Frequent urination (expected, not a side effect).

Serious Warnings

• Pregnancy: Unsafe (risk of fetal harm).
• Alcohol: Avoid (lowers BP further, increases dizziness).
• Kidney/Liver Disease: Use with caution (dose adjustment may be needed).
• Driving: May cause drowsiness/dizziness (avoid if affected).

Missed Dose?

Take as soon as remembered. Skip if close to next dose. Never double dose.
