Ondero-DM 500 Tablet SR
Use: Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (combined with diet/exercise).
Key Benefits:
Lowers blood sugar by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing liver glucose production, and increasing urinary glucose excretion.
Supports weight management.
Composition & Mechanism:
Combines 3 antidiabetic agents:
Dapagliflozin (SGLT2 inhibitor): Increases glucose excretion via urine.
Linagliptin (DPP-4 inhibitor): Boosts insulin release, reduces liver glucose production.
Metformin (Biguanide): Decreases gut glucose absorption, improves insulin response.
Dosage:
Take once/twice daily, with or without food (as prescribed).
Swallow whole; do not crush/chew.
Missed Dose: Take ASAP; skip if close to next dose. Never double dose.
Side Effects (Common):
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, loss of appetite.
Weakness, flatulence, UTIs, nasopharyngitis.
Manage mild GI effects by taking with food.
Warnings & Precautions:
Avoid if: Severe kidney/liver disease, allergy to components, or history of diabetic ketoacidosis.
