Combination: Cefuroxime (antibiotic) + Clavulanic Acid (beta-lactamase inhibitor).
Uses
Treats bacterial infections (e.g., ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin/soft tissue).
How It Works
Cefuroxime: Stops bacterial cell wall formation.
Clavulanic Acid: Prevents bacterial enzymes from breaking down Cefuroxime, enhancing its effect.
Dosage
Take as prescribed, with/without food, at fixed times.
Do not skip doses or stop early.
Side Effects
Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, allergic reactions.
Serious: Liver enzyme elevation (monitor with tests if needed).
