Ramistar-M 25mg/2.5mg Tablet XL

Combination: Metoprolol (25mg, beta-blocker) + Ramipril (2.5mg, ACE inhibitor)
Use: Treats hypertension (high blood pressure), reduces risk of heart attack/stroke, and improves survival post-heart attack.

Key Points:

• Dosage: Take once daily with food, at a fixed time. Do not crush/chew.

• Do NOT stop abruptly—even if asymptomatic.

• Lifestyle: Pair with exercise, weight management, and a low-salt/potassium diet.

Side Effects:

• Common: Dizziness, cough, weakness, nausea, headache, low BP, high potassium.

• Serious: Slow heart rate, swelling (angioedema), kidney/liver issues (monitor regularly).

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol (risk of severe dizziness).

• Unsafe in pregnancy (risk to fetus).

• Breastfeeding: Likely safe (consult doctor).

• Driving: Unsafe (may cause drowsiness/dizziness).
