Rispond 2 Tablet
Uses:
Treatment of schizophrenia (restores brain chemical balance, improves thinking/behavior).
Treatment of mania (stabilizes mood, prevents recurrence).
How to Take:
Take with/without food, preferably at night (fixed timing).
Swallow whole; do not crush/chew.
If missed: Take ASAP, but skip if close to next dose.
How It Works:
Atypical antipsychotic that modulates dopamine & serotonin to improve mood/behavior.
Key Side Effects:
Drowsiness, dizziness, weight gain, headache, insomnia.
Parkinsonism (tremors, rigidity), increased saliva, UTI.
Rare but serious: Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS; fever/rigidity → discontinue immediately).
Precautions:
Avoid alcohol (worsens drowsiness).
Monitor blood sugar (risk of diabetes).
Rise slowly to prevent dizziness (low BP risk).
Unsafe for driving (impairs alertness).
Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Consult doctor (potential risks).
Kidney/Liver disease: Dose adjustment may be needed.

Report mood changes/suicidal thoughts to doctor.
