Starpress R XL 25 Tablet

Composition: Metoprolol (beta-blocker) + Ramipril (ACE inhibitor)
Use: Treats hypertension (high blood pressure), reduces risk of heart attack/stroke, and improves survival post-heart attack.

Key Instructions:

• Dosage: Take once daily with food, as prescribed. Do not crush/chew.

• Consistency: Take at the same time daily, even if asymptomatic. Stopping abruptly may worsen condition.

• Lifestyle: Combine with exercise, weight management, and a low-salt/potassium diet.

Side Effects:

• Common: Dizziness, cough, weakness, nausea, headache, low BP, high potassium.

• Serious: Slow heart rate, cold extremities, kidney/liver issues (monitor regularly).

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol (risk of severe dizziness).

• Unsafe in pregnancy; consult doctor if breastfeeding.

• Kidney/Liver Patients: Dose adjustment needed; monitor BP, electrolytes.
