Overview

• Composition: Telmisartan (40mg) + Chlorthalidone (6.25mg).

• Use: Treats hypertension (high blood pressure) by relaxing blood vessels (Telmisartan) and removing excess fluid (Chlorthalidone, a diuretic).

• Goal: Reduces risk of heart attack, stroke, or kidney damage.

Key Instructions

• Dosage: Take as prescribed, usually once daily. Can be taken with/without food but at a fixed time.

• Missed Dose: Take ASAP, but skip if close to next dose. Never double dose.

• Avoid: Taking within 4 hours of bedtime (to prevent frequent urination at night).

Side Effects

• Common: Dizziness, diarrhea, back pain, low potassium, high uric acid, frequent urination (expected with diuretic).
